Too often in our friendships, marriages or at work our time is wasted with idle talk. It is sometimes called small talk and it comes as a result of our fear and awkwardness in silence.
If we make small talk a habit we will be unable to offer thoughtful advice or support to our loved ones when needed.
Small talk is just that, idle chatter for small minds. It is distracting at best, annoying at worst.
Keep your speech to a minimum even in close relationships. Not only will you be able to reflect rather than react but you may gain valuable insights about yourself.
