I remember as a child reading the story the Emperor's new clothes and thinking to myself that nobody could be so stupid as to not speak the truth. my world was one of bravery, tales of chivalry and virtue. Truth triumps over lies was my motto.
I see sadly that we are in a world where truth has been replaced by political reasons. we are told to repeat and believe lies. Like those watching the Emperor parading in the nude, we know he is naked but are afraid to say so.
We go along with lies, things we know are not right merely to fit in. This does violence to us.
Next time you see an Emperor parading with lies call it out as only the truth can set you and them free.
